Trombonist Marshall Gilkes
Marshall Gilkes is recognized as one of the great up-and-coming jazz trombone voices on the scene today. Receiving his early training at U. of Northern Colorado and William Paterson, as well as a Juilliard masters degree, he has gone on to become one of the central solo voices of the Maria Schneider Orchestra and has just joined the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra as one of its newest members. His trombone has been heard on the Latin jazz scene as well, with bands led by Machito, Chico O’Farrill, Tito Nieves, and many others. He continues to tour worldwide as a bandleader, arranger and composer, and appeared a numerous major festivals. His band will bring a new and much talked-about voice to the Jazz Room stage.
General Admission: Public $15 . William Paterson Community and Seniors $12 . Non-William Paterson Students $8

Advance ticket purchase is strongly recommended. There is an additional $5 charge PER TICKET if purchased at the box office on show day.
Each Jazz Room concert is preceded by a “Sittin’ In” meet-the-artist session one hour prior to performance in Shea Recital Hall. Free to all ticket holders. Audience members have a chance to meet and interact with that day’s artist in a question-answer format.
Additional discounts may be available by calling the Box Office.
There is a $4 per order fee for all sales not made in person at the Box Office.
Box Office hours are Monday and Friday 10 am - 2 pm, Tuesday through Thursday 10 am - 5 pm and one hour prior to the event.
There is a $5 per order fee for mailed or printed tickets held at Will-Call. E-Tickets/Print at Home tickets are included in the purchase price.
Discounts are limited to a maximum of 2 tickets. All additional tickets will be at the full public price.
