The eighteen-piece WP Jazz Orchestra meets the versatile vibraphonist Steve Nelson, who is a veteran of bassist Dave Holland’s acclaimed Quintet, and a longtime collaborator with the late Mulgrew Miller as a member of Miller’s Wingspan group. Nelson has also performed with Kenny Barron, David “Fathead” Newman, Johnny Griffin and Jackie McLean. A bachelors and masters graduate of Rutgers University, Nelson has also been on the Princeton faculty. Along with Nelson’s interpretations of jazz classics and standards, this concert will feature masters student arrangements of Nelson’s compositions written especially for this concert.

Admission: Advance sales - Public $15, William Paterson Community and Seniors $12, Students $8. WP Students get 1 free ticket on show day with valid ID card. Show day - All tickets are an additional $3 each on show day.

Additional discounts may be available by calling the Box Office. There is a $4 per order fee for all sales not made in person at the Box Office by cash.
