Carl Allen Quintet

Internationally respected drummer and WP alumnus returns to his alma mater in a tribute to two of his mentors, drum legends Art Blakey and Elvin Jones.  Allen has already built a major career, having led his own bands and appeared with numerous influential jazz performers, beginning with trumpeter Freddie Hubbard a year before graduating from WP.  He has also collaborated with Michael and Randy Brecker, Benny Golson, J.J. Johnson, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Cyrus Chestnut, Benny Green, Billy Childs and many others.  His direct connection to Elvin Jones and to Blakey will be the inspiration for this powerful performance.

Admission: Advance sales - Public $15, William Paterson Community and Seniors $12, Students $8. WP Students get 1 free ticket on show day with valid ID card. Show day - All tickets are an additional $3 each on show day.
