Event Notes
Ice Cycle is a dance expressing the fragility and dynamism of the Arctic icescape using artistry to illustrate climate change. The piece is inspired by choreographer Jody Sperling’s experience dancing on Artic polar sea ice. For this performance, Time Lapse Dance Ensemble collaborates with composer Matthew Burtner, a pioneer in eco-acoustics, to include ice-inflected sounds to create stunningly beautiful music.
