× The sudden loss this past fall of the iconic pianist Harold Mabern was felt perhaps nowhere else more than the halls of William Paterson’s jazz program, where he taught for 39 years and had a profound effect on alumni and fellow faculty alike. Two of Mabern’s most well-known WP alumni, saxophonist Eric Alexander and drummer Joe Farnsworth are joined by new WP faculty member pianist Mike LeDonne and a host of WP alumni and faculty in this tribute to the late piano master, and a fundraiser for the newly established Harold Mabern Memorial Scholarship Fund.
